"The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time." Abraham Lincoln

Best.Day.Ever.

I think I will mourn the loss of these two sets of best friends when we move more than they will! Children seem to be more resilient that way, and I have a tendancy to be over-sentimental. Evelyn, Sophia, Savannah and Abigail have been inseperable the past few days and it is such a joy to watch them immerse themselves in play and the wonders of childhood. Their imaginations are endless:

They made a fort out of boxes on the lawn and when it threatened rain we moved it into the garage and there it remains three days later.

They have eaten many meals in the fort's "rainbow room" and told me that they even remember to say prayer before they eat.

They play school and swim in the pool. They slip n slide and giggle and run. They ride bikes and fall off. They pick pinecones and create songs to sing to the neighborhood audience on the lawn. They sip lemonade and eat popcorn and make cookies.
