A Christmas Carol
I had the privilege of being invited to join the Four Seasons Theater Company's maiden production of A Christmas Carol which ran the first two weekends in December.
I forgot how much I enjoy the stage and it was awesome to be able to do something for me, something that I enjoy so much, but I wouldn't have been able to do it without my family.  I was able to relax and have a good time knowing that the girls were well taken care of.

Visiting the elves at Gardner Village!
Nothing brings the Christmas spirit more than a trip to Salt Lake City to see the lights, but while we waited for Temple Square to become illuminated, the girls and I met up with Adam, Hillary, Max, Em, Russ and Elliot at Gardener Village for the afternoon. We had a nice time browsing the shops and buying candy!

The Lights at Temple Square
I have one thing to say and that is "BRRRRR!"
It was cold, so cold, as we bundled up and walked around Temple Square. Evelyn had it in her mind that she wanted to ride the train, so we jumped on at the Gateway and headed into town. We had a great time wandering around, seeing the lights, the Temple, the Nativity and the Christus.

Evelyn's Kindergarten Christmas Program
It was so much fun to watch the Kindergarten classes perform their Christmas program. Evelyn was a little elf and she did such a great job singing!

Happy Christmas Eve!
The girls got all dressed up for a special Christmas Eve with Grandma and Grandpa Knight. Before Daddy picked them up though we had to make cookies for Santa!

* Christmas Day 2011 *
On Christmas morning the girls woke up Grandma Kari, Mommy, Adam, Hillary, Max and we all had to go upstairs together (like we did when we were little) to see what Santa had brought. Emily, Russ and Elliot joined us a little later in the afternoon.

Santa left a princess tent, sleeping bags, red dresses and Jingle the husky puppy

Uncle Max gave Evelyn a monkey car pillow

Grandma Kari gave the girls a Rapunzel tower

The beautiful dress-up capes came from Aunt Hillary and Uncle Adam

Happy Christmas to all and to all a good night!

New Year's Eve
I couldn't sit by and let a holiday slip by unnoticed and I felt like that was just about what was going to happen with New Year's Eve. But since I have faith that this year is going to be a much better year than 2011 was, I set up a "party". The "party" being the girls and I eating fondue with Grandma and Max and, after the girls were put to bed, Mom and Max and I played Bezzerwizzer and toasted in the New Year with bubbly and Mr. Dick Clark. We had a very fun and funny night and I feel like the year was started off right.
Here's to a great 2012! Hip, Hip, Hooray!!
