I think that October is the grandest month of the entire year. The weather cools, the leaves turn red, gold, and bronze, the air smells like dead leaves crunched underfoot and smoke. The sun sets early and casts long evening shadows. It makes me content, glad.
Logan Canyon in October is probably the closest thing to heaven I can think of. After General Conference, my family took a stroll to the Gueniva Amphitheater. We walked around, laughed at the dogs, threw the Frisbee, and acted like dorks on the stage. Evelyn and Sophia gave us quite a performance, little actresses that they are. Evelyn is a bit more reserved and Sophia has no fear. It was so much fun; the perfect afternoon, until Max and Russell both jumped for the football, launched by Adam, and ended up in a tangled mess in the bushes and rocks, Max screaming that his ankle was broken! Funny, funny brothers.
I have an incredible family!
